Presidency Message
June 2015
I feel that the month of June is a very exciting one for our ward Relief Society! The first Sunday of the month, I will be teaching our graduating senior Young Women, officially welcoming then into Relief Society! Then on June 20, we will have a super fun day at Lake Monroe on a Pontoon Boat. All sisters are invited but we are especially encouraging the older laurels to join us for some true Relief Society fun! The last Sunday of June (June 28th), we will be hosting a Visiting Teaching conference during Relief Society. The priesthood will be helping out in Primary and YW so that all of you will be able to be there. During this conference, you may be given some new assignments regarding your Visiting Teaching. Our presidency has given much thought and prayer to the visiting teaching program in our ward, and felt a few changes were necessary. I pray that as you accept your new assignment, you will immediately feel love and stewardship for your sisters distill upon you from heaven. I love this quote from years ago, that Sister Majorie Hinckley shared: " We are all in this together. We need each other. Oh, how we need each other. This of us who are old need you who are young, and hopefully, you who are young need some of us who are old...we need deep satisfying and loyal friendships with each other. These friendships are a necessary source of sustenance. We need to renew our faith every day. We need to lock arms and help build the kingdom so that it will roll forth and fill the whole earth." We truly need each other. We truly are SISTERS! And, as the word 'sisters' spells out, RS is where sisteR belong! Thank you for all you do for each other. Thanks you for answering the call to take dinner, clean out a bird cage, drive a sister to a doctor appointment, or just feel a need is there... and off you go to take care of it! I am truly humbled to be associated with each of you! Have a wonderful month. Take a moment to realize how blessed you are to be a part of this great organization in these latter days!
With MUCH love,
Tracy
