ATTN: BYU ALUM AND FANS!

BYU Alumni and Fans: The Indiana BYU Alumni Association is looking for individuals and couples who would like to get involved in planning or participating in activities. Our primary purpose is to raise funds for up to 5 grants, which are offered to current BYU students based on financial need and academics. Each year we have a send-off party for current BYU students, award student grants, put on a fund-raising golf outing, host a football tailgate at BYU for Hoosier students, and bring in a BYU professor to speak in Indianapolis. We must learn to prioritize our lives in such a way that is pleasing to our Father in Heaven. We must seek to use our time to build up the kingdom of God. We can become the master of our time by seeking the help of the Lord in determining our most important tasks and learning to avoid the things that distract us from accomplishing those tasks.

Our Savior promised, “He who is faithful and wise in time is accounted worthy to inherit the mansions prepared for him of my Father.” (D&C 72:4)

We have been invited by the Columbus Fourth Ward Relief Society to attend Super Saturday!!

It will be held on Saturday February 28th from 8am-noon at the Columbus ward building.

The day will go as follows:

This is going to be such a fun event and wonderful way to socialize and meet sisters from the other wards! We hope to see you all there!

January Book of Mormon Class

The first meeting for our Book of Mormon class was great! We had about half a dozen women there and we talked about the purposes of the Book of Mormon and shared something about how we received a testimony of the book and the gospel. When asked why they decided to make time to come, one of the ladies said she needed guidance in her life and she knew reading the Book of Mormon again would help. Another said she wants to understand the Book of Mormon better. Another said she wanted to be more diligent in reading and the class is good motivation. It was really nice to just sit and share our stories. The Book of Mormon has a powerful spirit and it's fun to share what we each get out of it. This is going to be a great thing to look forward to every month! We hope even more will join us next time on February 19! The reading assignment is 1 Nephi. See you then!
